New Products: Czech Small Arms "Classic" VZ 58 Rifle

Описание: This week Paul Levy, leader of the Brownells new product super ninjas, has something that'll make military rifle fans salivate: a special edition Czech Small Arms VZ 58, available ONLY from Brownells. Let's call this model "The Classic" because it has a semi-gloss dark gray finish AND original-style, nicely grained Beechwood buttstock, pistol grip, and forend. The original VZ 58 assault rifle was developed during the 1950s by Česká Zbrojovka (CZ) for the Czechoslovakian military and was in production from 1959 to 1984. Chambered in the standard Soviet Bloc 7.62x39, the VZ 58 may look like an AK-47 knockoff - but in fact it's a very different rifle. The VZ 58's short-stroke piston operating system is different from the AK's, closer to an SKS but very smooth. It uses its own magazine, and the cleverly designed safety selector is on the right side of the receiver. At about 1.5 lbs. lighter, the VZ 58 is more maneuverable and easier to control than the AK, too. The VZ 58 "Classic" comes with a sling and two mags.
