Описание: This summer I traveled to Baffin Island to a part called Brevoort Island. A realitively small island had tons of bear activity. My role was to find them, to know where they were and to protect crews that had work tasks to do on the landscape. This place has seen many near missed with bears getting into buildings, with them immobilizing multiple helicopters, as well as stalking people. If you choose to work in the north, the polar bear is a serious risk to your safety, as is the barren land grizzly further in the west. Without habituation or reason to fear, they will actively hunt us if an opportunity presents itself. Being a bear monitor is a very prominant role when it comes to other's safety.
