Iraqi Hebrew is the dialect of Hebrew that was commonly used by the Jewish people of Iraq. Iraqi Jews constitue one of the oldest
and most historically significant Jewish communities. They have had a history that spans back to the Babylonian captivity in 586 BC.
Up until 1949, many Jews have lived in Iraq, but the community now mostly resides in countries like Israel, United States and Britain.
