This video documents the tragic and preventable death of Vaibhav, a third-year medical student at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Medicine.
Vaibhav was an exceptional student at Texas Tech School of Medicine, a summa cum laude graduate from Texas A&M, with a 4.0 GPA, and a young man devoted to becoming a compassionate physician. In July 2025, following an unverified patient allegation during an OB/GYN clinical rotation at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Vaibhav was removed from clinical duties and labeled guilty of an “egregious breach of professionalism” — without due process, evidence, or a fair investigation.
Within days, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center administrators imposed severe restrictions, warned him of possible dismissal from medical school, and sent coercive communications late at night. These actions occurred despite inconsistencies in the complaint and internal emails acknowledging uncertainty about whether Vaibhav was even present during the alleged encounter.
Instead of protecting their own student, the school appeared more concerned with its reputation and chose an easy way out. They failed to provide support and betrayed Vaibhav’s trust when he needed it most. These events highlight the administration’s insensitivity, incompetence, and profound failure of responsibility.
Through firsthand testimony from Vaibhav’s parents, this video exposes serious concerns about:
· Due process failures at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
· Gender bias in medical school investigations
· Student mental health neglect in academic medicine
· Administrative misconduct in medical education
· Lack of trauma-informed response by TTUHSC leadership
This is not just a story about one student at Texas Tech School of Medicine — it is a broader warning about how academic institutions handle allegations, discipline medical students, and safeguard mental health.
His case echoes the widely known Katie Meyer Story, in which Stanford University soccer captain Katie Meyer died by suicide after facing an aggressive and high-stakes university disciplinary process. Much like Katie, Vaibhav was a high-achieving student with a bright future whose life unraveled under the weight of institutional actions, late-stage disciplinary threats, and a lack of trauma-informed care. In both cases, administrative procedures placed extraordinary pressure on young people without adequate safeguards, transparency, or support, raising urgent questions about how universities handle allegations and disciplinary processes—and the devastating consequences when student well-being is not prioritized.
If universities like Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center are not held accountable, similar tragedies will continue to occur across medical schools nationwide.
No more dreams should end at 11:36 PM.
If sharing Vaibhav’s story helps protect even one medical student, his life and legacy will not be forgotten.
