In this video, women of African and Caribbean heritage come together to share their memories of HIV and ask questions about how things have changed. To break the fear and stigma, we need to follow their lead and start talking and educating ourselves.
Many people hold bad memories and trauma related to HIV and AIDS back in the 80s and 90s, which drives fear and stigma. However, HIV has changed.
Treatment means that people living with HIV can live a long, healthy life and if on effective treatment, they can’t pass HIV on to anyone else.
