Bandelier National Monument I The Alcove House Ladder Climb!

Описание: Welcome to our adventure at Bandelier National Monument! Join us as we embark on a journey through ancient ruins, breathtaking landscapes, and heart-pounding heights. In this video, we show you the beauty and challenges of exploring this historic site.

Our day began with a leisurely stroll along the 1.4-mile Main Pueblo Loop. Along the way, we marveled at the remnants of the past, including the Big Kiva, Tyuonyi, the Talus House, and the Long House. Each step brought us a better understanding of the rich history and culture of the ancestral Pueblo people.

However, the true highlight of our visit awaited us at the Alcove House. Perched 140 feet (42 meters) above the Frijoles Canyon, the Alcove House is a breathtaking cliff dwelling that beckons adventurers and history enthusiasts alike. But to reach this architectural marvel, we first had to conquer four towering wooden ladders!

As we approached the ladders, we had a wide range of emotions, from excitement to trepidation. With shaky legs and pounding hearts, we pushed ourselves out of our comfort zone, determined to overcome our fear of heights. Step by step, and rung by rung, we ascended into the sky, surrounded by the sheer beauty of the canyon.

For us, the climb was not so much of a physical feat, but a mental challenge. With each ladder conquered, we gained confidence and an incredible appreciation for the resilience of the ancestral Puebloans who once called this cliff-dwelling home.
