A video about the longest running song competition of all time! The Eurovision Song Contest (abr. ESC) debuted as a way for Europe to unite after WWII, and as a way to broadcast the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) across a rapidly changing world. First conceived as a simple late night soiree, the ESC grew to become one of the most popular events of the year, encompassing all of Europe (and eventually outside Europe). Here I talk about the beginning steps of this competition and how bit by bit how it became the behemoth (albeit very flawed) cultural milestone.
