A planning application to improve the city’s outer ring road has been submitted.
The plans include significant improvements with the aim of reducing congestion, moving car journeys out of the city centre and improving active travel facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.

Transcript-
“There’s been really extensive consultation on our York Outer Ring Road project with the vast majority of residents supporting the scheme, but that consultation has now led to a range of further improvements including things like biodiversity and active travel. A planning application has now been submitted which means more consultation will take place but really importantly that progress will continue to be made so we can see those benefits of dualling, a drop off of congestion, more connectivity and options for residents and businesses.”
