St. John Berchmans is a saint that didn't perform extraordinary deeds but did ordinary deeds with extraordinary perfection. Berchmans wanted to become a saint from a very young age. But because he grew during the polotical turmoil between catholics and protestants, his life became much more difficult. Berchmans grew up in a poor family and this added to his burden. Nonetheless, he excelled at study and continued in his journey to become a priest. But sadly, Berchmans died before he could become one.
