and to all those hearts that still beat with compassion…
On this cold, desolate night,
when we are wrapped in warm blankets, sleeping peacefully…
at that very moment,
in some dark corner of a street,
on freezing concrete, a small life is trembling.
Hunger burns in its eyes,
the cold pierces deep into its bones,
and in its heart lives only a silent hope—
“Maybe today someone will give me a little food…
Maybe someone will lovingly say,
‘Hey, you are not alone.’”
Friends, this is not an imaginary story.
This is the reality of our streets.
This is the reality of India’s street dogs.
Today, our country has more than 60 million dogs,
and most of them—nearly 50 million—
live on the streets, in alleys,
among garbage piles and broken roads.
Every single day, they fight—
against hunger,
against cold,
against disease,
against accidents…
and the greatest battle of all—
against our indifference.
In winter, this story becomes even more heartbreaking.
In many cities, within just a few days,
hundreds and thousands of street animals
die from cold and starvation.
Studies show that out of ten puppies born on the streets,
only two survive…
the remaining eight fall silent forever—
due to hunger, disease, cold, or accidents.
Hunger becomes so cruel
that they swallow plastic, glass, and filthy waste…
leading to infection, pain,
and death without treatment.
And disease?
Every year, millions of people suffer dog bites.
Deadly diseases like rabies
claim thousands upon thousands of lives—
because vaccinations are lacking,
and access to treatment is limited.
Friends, think about this…
Helping dogs is, in reality,
protecting humans as well.
Do their lives have no value?
That dog who wags its tail when it sees you,
who survives on a single piece of food you throw away—
is it just a “street dog”?
Or is it the neighbor of our lanes?
The silent guardian of our neighborhood?
Do only expensive, purebred pets
deserve love and medical care?
No.
Every life has equal value.
Every heartbeat matters.
So what can we do today?
You might be thinking—
“What difference will my small effort make?”
Listen carefully…
With just ₹100,
a dog can be fed for an entire day.
With ₹500,
a blanket can protect one from the deadly cold.
With ₹1,000,
essential injections, medicines, or treatment become possible.
This amount may be small for you…
but for them,
it is life itself.
We are Street Guardians.
We stand beside these forgotten children of the streets.
We provide—
• Warm clothing and safe shelter during winter
• Daily nutritious meals
• Emergency medical care
• Rabies vaccination and sterilization
All with complete transparency—
through photos, videos,
and regular updates.
In the end, I just want to say this…
We are human beings.
Compassion lives in our chests.
Kindness resides in our hearts.
Humanity flows through our veins.
So let us take a small decision today—
“Yes… I will be part of this noble cause.
I will prove that every life matters—
whether it lives in a palace,
or on the side of a road.”

should be left helpless.
