There are tons of videos on how to do a twist out. There are tons of videos on how to get the "perfect" twist out. I am more of a braid out girl, because I have never been able to get a good twist out until recently. This may be a method that you have seen before. It is nothing special, but it is the method that works best for my hair, and gives me MY best twist out. Enjoy!
I started off with heat stretched hair. I use heat 1-2 times a month. Mostly blow drying, and very light heat on my roots. I have been blow drying my hair for over two years, and recently tried lightly flat ironing my roots which help my heat stretched hair last longer. Not sure if it is something I will continue, because it is not a huge difference. You do not have to use heat to achieve this hairstyle! The best results come with stretched hair.
No heat methods to stretch hair...
1.) Bunning Method -- High bun or low bun
2.) One ponytail with a braid
3.) Curlformers, flexi rods, or roller set (without heat)
4.) Banding
5.) African Threading

I prepared my hair that night. I used Cantu Shea Butter Promade and applied it to each section, then I lightly spritzed with water to help set the twist.
I also used the Cantu Shea Butter Pomade the next morning to add shine to the finished hairstyle. I have recently started using the pomade, and it is great for minimizing the effects of humidity.
I prefer to re twist my hair at night. It takes me 10 minutes. I use the opportunity to moisturize and seal my hair and also do a light finger detangling. This makes it a lot easier when wash day comes.
How long this style will and can last depends on many things, hair type, products used for hold, climate, daily activities, etc. Results will vary! Have fun and be creative!
