Retail stores in many cities also saw customers rushing to buy them as a backup cooking option.

In some places the demand became so high that induction stoves went out of stock on quick-commerce platforms and electronics stores. Retailers reported selling dozens of units every day, compared with only a few earlier.

Because of this sudden shift, companies that manufacture induction cooktops and electric kitchen appliances are benefiting from the situation. Brands and appliance manufacturers have increased production to meet the new demand, and the crisis may even accelerate a longer-term shift toward electric cooking in some urban households and commercial kitchens.

In short, the LPG shortage has not only affected cooking fuel supply but has also pushed many people to explore electric cooking options. As a result, induction stove companies and electric appliance makers are seeing a sudden rise in demand.
