A brilliant show from Maxida, a Sami rapper. Her music seem very personal and in between each song Maxida talked with the audience about her personal struggles, her own upbringing, raising her kids and dealing with anti-Sami discrimination in Sweden and even her ongoing fight with mining companies that threatens her family's Sami way of life.
It was almost reminiscent of her session of "Sommarpratare" but here Maxida supplies her own music in between the chats ("Sommarpratare" or "Summer speaker" is a hugely popular Swedish radio show where people talk about their personal struggles, and Maxida features in one of the episodes).
All in all it makes for a riveting and engaging show - if you get a chance - go see her. You won't be disappointed.
