On the video you can see the second model of the mobile electronic siren MES-06, produced in the mid 80's by the company Tegrad from Ljubljana- Yugoslavia.. It has two blinking 55w halogen lights (H3 bulb). Each of them has its own blinking relay. The blinking is not synchronized at the beginning, but after two or three minutes of work the lights "catch the rithym" and they start to blink alternately afterwards (as seen on the video). Each blinking unit is equipped with a cascade mirror made of polished steel tin and it is facing forward.
The lightbar on the video is equipped with a 75W speaker positioned in the central dome and it is powered by a Tegrad UMO-01 amplifier. (WAIL, YELP, HI-LO + PA and RADIO input/output).
Older model had the lights conneceted with only one blinking relay, which made them blink alternately at a higher blink rate. Later on the company started to produce lightbars with 4 blinking units and of course lightbars with 2 strobe lights (they placed strobe light under the lenses instead of the H3 bulb). Their visibility was quite weak, especially in sunny weather- some lightbars had quite dark plexi domes, which has worsened the situation.
MES-06R with rotating lights came out after the disintegration of Yugoslavia in 1991 and was widely used in the newly formed republic of Slovenia.
