Artificial intelligence scribing is a new innovation in healthcare with the potential to improve clinical practice efficiency and enhance the doctor-patient connection. In this #CRArthritis interview, our guest is long time ACE collaborator and trusted advisor Dr. Vandana Ahluwalia, who discusses her session titled AI Scribing: Are You Ready For It? Is It Ready For You? She describes the factors that need to be considered using this technology include consent, and privacy as well as the work being done on the Canadian Rheumatology Association’s Project Athena to help support rheumatologists using new technologies.
Dr. Ahluwalia heads the Rheumatology Division of the William Osler Health Centre in Brampton, Ontario. She is the past Corporate Chief of the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Internal Medicine at the William Osler Health System.
