The great Mestre Pastinha once said that capoeira is for men, women and children; the only ones who don’t learn it are those are those who don’t wish to.
Hence, we have seen countless videos of inspiring ladies playing capoeira around the world and they have definitely impressed us with their skills and passion. Therefore, among all of the great videos we have gathered, we have handpicked the finest and definitely the best videos based on the players’ agility, interactions, skills and varying techniques.

1. SENZALA – RABO DE ARAIA, UKRAINE (0:10)
The history of the RDA Capoeira Ukraine started in 2007 by Mestre Balu. Currently, the group occupies a worthy place among other world-famous schools of Capoeira , spreading in many cities in Spain, Ukraine, Portugal, Angola, Romania, Germany, Russia, England, Mexico and firmly entrenched in the heart of Brazil, Brasília.

2. CORDÃO DE OURO - ACADEMIA MATRIZ, BRAZIL (0:40)
The ladies are part of the Capoeira Cordão de Ouro Association that was founded by Mestre Suassuna on September 1, 1967, along with Mestre Brasilia. The legendary Mestre Suassuna would then teach Capoeira Regional and Mestre Brasilia Capoeira Angola within the same space.

These ladies are among the prominent names that came from the group such as Mestre Cícero, Mestre Zé Carlos and Mestre Penteado which have made great contributions in the capoeira society.

3. ANGELICA LANDIN - SEREIA LONDON UK (1:10)
She is the World and European Capoeira champion and has been featured in Alicia Key’s video ‘Girl on Fire’. She moved to Brazil for eight months in order to master Brazilian culture and capoeira. These ladies are part of the largest capoeira school in Russia. With almost 40 branches around Russia, this subsidiary school of Cordao de Ouro is also the most developed capoeira group outside of Brazil. Mestre Cueca is the curator of the branches of the Cordão de Ouro group in Russia, USA, Italy and India.

6. CAPOEIRA BROOKLYN, CAPOEIRA MOTUMBAXÉ – NEW YORK CITY, USA (2:40)
These great Capoeiristas are part of the Capoeira Motumbaxé which was found by Mestre Lampréia. The Brazillian Mestre has been teaching Capoeira since 1995 and now sharing his love and passion for capoeira in New York since 2002 through workshops, batizados, jogos, and international cultural exchanges.

This amazing capoeirista has proven that Capoeira is a perfect dance and martial arts for women.
