Brioni Faith's Oblivion: Infatuation, Intoxication, and Industrial Dance

Brioni loves to explore human nature through her music - and 'Oblivion' is no exception. So, what is this song really about?

"Oblivion was written about infatuation; being addicted to the high - pure intoxication.

The idea of calling this feeling 'Oblivion' came to me because it means: being unaware of what is happening. You're swept away; you're unaware of what's going on. You've put the other person on a pedestal -- and you've disempowered yourself."

The emotional crash that comes afterwards is the catalyst for change.

"The high is so consuming, that we forget ourselves, and forget Universal Law. What goes up - must come down.

We perceive the crash as being something bad - something that ruined the high, but it's the crash that creates the re-empowerment. There is always some new aspect of yourself that rises up to meet the challenge."

The video clip would best be described as "Industrial Dance meets Mortal Kombat."

"I really love the video; it definitely has a Mortal Kombat feel to it. The cast did a brilliant job and brought so much energy to the whole production."

The Oblivion EP is practically an album with 10 tracks in total, and remixes from all over the World.

"The Oblivion Remix Competition gave birth to so many brilliant remixes, we had to include the whole top 5! There's some amazing trance, dubstep, breaks and some really thumping club versions on there."
