You are trying to understand what is important to the employer. And the first step is understanding what the company's needs are. Before you go into what the manager wants, you should have a high-level overview of why this role is essential to the company.

Recruiters look for people who are prepared and do their homework. Look at the company's website and examine their mission and vision statement. See if you can find their core values.
