Описание: In this webinar, CEIBS Associate Professor of Operations Management Chao Liang will share her most recent research on how manufacturers in China are transitioning from traditional to smart manufacturing using some real-world examples.

Prof. Liang will be joined by ABB Process Industries Digital Program Manager Guillaume Carnaille, who will showcase how ABB are helping customers move towards autonomous manufacturing and integrate the use of AR/VR into traditional industries. In a very down-to-earth talk, supported by concrete customer cases, he will explain how futuristic technologies are already making a difference today both in terms of profitability and environmental impact.

About our speakers

Chao Liang
Associate Professor of Operations Management at CEIBS

Dr. Liang’s research concentrates on the interdisciplinary studies of operations management and marketing, behavioral operations management, and supply chain management. Her studies focus on how customer behavior influences product rollover, innovation, inventory storage location, pricing decisions and more. She received her Ph.D. in Operations Management from University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). Dr. Liang is a passionate teacher, and her courses such as Intelligent Manufacturing and Enterprise Upgrading/ Digitalization, and Operations and Supply Chain Strategies, have been well received.


Guillaume Carnaille
Digital Program Manager at ABB Process Industries

Guillaume Carnaille is a world citizen with a passion for technology and sustainability. His curiosity coupled with a dual background in Manufacturing Engineering and International Business have led him to drive (digital) transformations across functions in multiple industries.

In his current role with ABB Process Industries division, he relies on more than 10 years of experience in project management and change management to help customers deliver their digital roadmap in terms of financial value and contribution to a net-zero future.
