While finishing up some light duty work, my tractor decided to go into regeneration mode just before parking. I pulled out my phone and filmed as much of it as I could.
A regeneration cycle occurs with the tractors diesel particulate filter (DPF) starts to get clogged up with soot. The process is designed to incinerate the soot particulates in the DPF leaving it clean for the next hours of usage.
This LS XR4145C regen cycle is about 50hrs or when the computer senses the DPF is about 80% clogged. This is the 4th time this tractor has regenerated at 193hrs.
