A major snowstorm is causing blizzard conditions across the Midwest today as blinding snows and strong winds are causing white out conditions. Most businesses have been forced to close early to prevent their employees from being stranded. Missouri Department of Transportation has cruise plowing, insulting roads in an effort to keep roadways clear. However, the intense snowfall rates are showing this to be difficult. Video package includes numerous shots around the St. Joseph, MO metro area including cars stuck in snow, cars being pulled from the snow, plow and salt trucks clearing the roads, and drone video of clearing efforts.
