Final round of the George Washington University Law School's 2014 Van Vleck Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition, featuring these presiding judges:
-Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor
-Chief Judge Robert Katzmann of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit
-Judge Lee Rosenthal of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas
Petitioners Amanda Nagrotsky and Olivia Jahn argued against Respondents Kyle Singhal and James Gross
Respondents Kyle Singhal and Jim Gross won the competition. Kyle Singhal won Best Overall Competitor. The awards ceremony was omitted from this video.
The issues are 1) whether the government can track you using the GPS on your cell phone, without a warrant, and 2) whether the government can fly unmanned drones over your backyard, without a warrant.
