Christmas crackers are a British tradition! While typically single-use, this reusable one was hand turned from a locally-sourced ash log enhanced with Chestnut Products Yew Spirit Stain to bring out the grain. The traditional contents include: a trinket/gift (in this case, a hand turned miniature penguin made from ebony and beech with an ovangkol beak), a paper crown, and a (bad) joke.
Dimensions:
Cracker:
diameter: 2¼ inches / 5.5 centimetres
length: 9½ inches / 24 centimetres
Penguin:
diameter: ½ inches / 1.2 centimetres
height: 1½ inches / 3.5 centimetres
