Aldridge LED traffic lights @ Burke Rd & Barkers Rd, Hawthorn East

Описание: Another generic intersection with a typical setup from the 1980s, such as yellow painted masts and very old Aldridge Group audio tactile units.

Before 2010, this intersection even used to feature a couple of Aldridge clear LED traffic lights, which got replaced by newer Aldridge LED traffic lights with coloured lenses you see in here today.

Around 2024 to July 2025, the median mast on the western side was hit and got replaced by a newer bare steel mast with a Tyco 2nd gen, and the previous Excelsior audio tactile unit was replaced with a Braums one, albeit the older pedestrian button remains.

Finally, around early 2026, the traffic light on the same mast mentioned above was replaced with a Braums LED (2nd gen model).

Something interesting to note that despite the buttons use the Aldridge Group audio-tactile units, they have the don't walk tone at the pitch of a B, which makes them sound like either ATS or Braums units.
