Gonzaga's Tyon Grant-Foster granted additional season of eligibility by Spokane County Judge

Tyon Grant-Foster’s preliminary injunction hearing was held Monday at Spokane County Superior Court before Judge Marla Polin. After hearing arguments from both Grant-Foster’s legal team and the NCAA for more than two hours, Polin ruled in favor of Grant-Foster, granting him an additional season of eligibility — meaning he will play for the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the 2025-26 season.
“Having balanced those equities and having examined the three preliminary injunction requirements, I did find that the equitable factors weighed in favor of issuing that preliminary injunction,” Polin said.
Grant-Foster left the courtroom visibly emotional after finally winning his eligibility battle.
Gonzaga is set to host Western Oregon at 6 p.m. at the McCarthey Athletic Center. It’s unclear if Grant-Foster will suit up for the exhibition game, which is less than an hour from tipoff. We will hear from Grant-Foster after GU's game tonight. You can find that on SWXLocalSports.com.
