A gorgeous sunset on top of Mount Brunswick!

Описание: A dream finally came true!
When I moved to Vancouver, I was looking around for mountain views, and I came across a picture of a guy standing on top of a peak overlooking one of the best views I’ve ever seen. That’s when I discovered Mount Brunswick, the tallest peak in Vancouver’s North shore. From that moment, I dreamed of getting up there and get a drone shot of myself from far away. I wanted to look super tiny on top of that stunner of a mountain!.
I first summited last August, when I was doing the Howe Sound Crest trail (video here: https://bit.ly/3eZKf8p ), but I wasn’t lucky with visibility. Also, there were too many people on top, so my dream of a perfect shot had to wait a bit longer.
That’s when I realised that the only way for me to get that picture, was to summit for sunset, preferably off season. Luckily for me, last October was unusually hot in Vancouver, and when I saw that the forecast was great for a whole week, I went for it, and finally got the shot!

A few things to add:

Tunnel Bluffs isn’t exactly on the way to Brunswick, it’s a 4km detour if you want to do it. It’s pretty much flat tho, so it doesn’t add too much to the trail.

Same thing goes for Magnesia Meadows. Once you cross the Howe Sound Crest trail on the way up, it’ll take you an hour to get there, and that will add quite a lot of fatigue to the whole mission, as it keeps going up and down.

From the top of Brunswick, it took me one an a half hours to get back down to Magnesia Meadows. You should rush down as soon as the sun sets, as the last bit up Brunswick is sketchy, and it’s easy to miss the trail in the dark. Once you’re back to the Howe Sound Crest trail, it’s gonna be ok, as long as you have a powerful headlamp, and you know what you're doing.

Be extra careful up there, and know your limits, it takes a second to transform a stunning day to a nightmare.
