Program: Geometric methods in Percolation and Spin Models
ORGANIZERS: Subhajit Goswami (TIFR, Mumbai, India), Piet Lammers (CNRS, Paris, France) and Trishen S. Gunaratnam (TIFR, Mumbai, India and ICTS, Bengaluru, India)
DATE & TIME: 02 March 2026 to 13 March 2026
VENUE: Ramanujan Lecture Hall, ICTS
This program is centred around two vibrant and active fields in probability theory: percolation and spin models. The emphasis is on geometric approaches for analyzing critical phenomena in this context.
The core themes of the program are
Scaling limits and universality in two-dimensional statistical mechanics.
Geometric representations of correlation functions in all dimensions.
Mathematical progress towards rigorous renormalization schemes.
