When things can go wrong they will go wrong. Ixion in the Peak District - Rider Down!

Описание: While it seemed like everyone was away at the ABR festival this past weekend, I hosted 12 members of the Ixion motorcycle group. Ixion is an internet-based group of motorcyclists that has been operating since the 1980s and regularly comes together for events throughout the year. It was an enjoyable ride to organise, as there was a mix of machinery and abilities (look out for the 50s Douglas).

Some of the Ixion members I've known longer than many of my non-Ixion friends. It was lovely to bring them together for a Peak District trailriding weekend, riding in two groups. However, things did not go to plan - I had a bad back, the route needed to be changed on the fly due to a road closure and when we came across a downed rider, it meant we had to think on our feet, keep the group riding while some of us helped to get the injured rider medical help. Oh! And for the first time, the Tenere let me down!
