Ingredients:
1 ½ cups of pecan halves
½ cup of granulated sugar
1 tablespoon of butter (unsalted)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add the sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until the sugar begins to dissolve and the mixture becomes smooth.
Add the pecans to the saucepan and stir them around until they're fully coated with the sweet syrup.
Spread the pecans onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Make sure they are spread out so they can bake evenly.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the pecans are golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to burn them!
