Описание: A shocking firing incident near Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, created panic among devotees and local residents on the night of June 6. The incident reportedly took place in the corridor area and nearby markets when a dispute over a payment at a grocery store escalated into gunfire.

According to shopkeeper Vinod Malhotra, a group of 4–5 youths purchased goods worth around ₹550 from his store but allegedly paid only ₹230 through Google Pay. When asked to pay the remaining amount, an argument broke out. The situation soon turned violent, and the accused allegedly opened fire towards the shop, firing 4 to 5 rounds.

During the incident, Vinod Malhotra sustained injuries, while another youth working at a nearby dhaba was also injured by bullet pellets. The victim alleged that the attackers appeared to be under the influence of intoxicants and were not local residents. They reportedly arrived in two cars and continued creating chaos in the area for nearly an hour.

The incident caused fear among devotees visiting Sri Darbar Sahib and nearby shopkeepers. Local residents have demanded strict action against the accused and enhanced security in the holy city's sensitive areas.

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered against unidentified persons. Based on CCTV footage and other evidence, three accused have been detained, and further investigation is underway. Legal action is being taken as per the law.
