Описание: The final week of our community archaeology dig and the cooler weather was very much welcome. We were visited by Neil Redfern, head of the Council for British Archaeology to help celebrate the #FestivalofArchaeology. Oh... and we found our first fragments of pottery! Small poorly fired fragments they may have been, but small, poorly fired and prehistoric!

We had one week left to dodge the rain and try and find the date of this earthwork, which we starting to believe is an enclosure rather than a linear feature. We had a visitor at our Cothlestone Hill dig site too as Ross Pollard from BBC Radio Somerset interviewed Historic Heritage Officer Dan Broadbent, as well as Richard from SWHT and some of our wonderful volunteers.
