Welcome to Day 16 of the 30-Day Road to Regulation, a veteran-focused meditation, breathwork, and nervous system healing series designed to help you reconnect with your body, restore a sense of safety, and build daily regulation skills you can use anywhere.
Tough, emotional days are a part of being human, and there’s nothing wrong with having them. We all experience ups and downs, moments where things feel heavy, and days when our energy just isn’t there — and that’s okay. Healing isn’t a straight line; it’s a process that unfolds over time, one breath and one moment at a time. Practices like sauna therapy can be a powerful support during these times, offering a space to slow down, release built-up tension, and let the body relax so the nervous system can reset. In the warmth, we’re reminded to be gentle with ourselves, to sit with what comes up, and to trust that even on the harder days, healing is still happening.
This practice is especially helpful for veterans dealing with stress, anxiety, PTSD, emotional numbness, chronic tension, or difficulty feeling safe in the body. Over the next 30 days, this series will gradually build your capacity for regulation, resilience, and self-trust through consistent, intentional practice.
