Dart XL Enhanced - Failed Maiden! (Hat cam, DVR & HD flight footage)

Описание: Hi, not everything went to plan for the maiden of my XL Enhanced, but I did get it flying!

I had six launches, all a bit scary from a combination of insufficient throttle, bad launch technique, and the stock motor/prop being a little under-powered for a loaded 1400gm plane (with GoPro and 5200mah 4S).

It's an odd decision to bundle a 2216-1300kv motor with a 9x4.5" prop for a 4S plane... at high throttle you are over-propping the motor, drawing high amps for not much performance. (An 8x6" is a slightly better match, but a 1100kv motor with 9x6" would be better still.)

After these flights, I upgraded to a 2220-980kv spinning a 9x6" APC - a power train intended for my next Mini Talon. This will generate 200W more thrust and hopefully be more efficient at cruise. We'll see!

Otherwise, the plane is impressively stable for its size, and I immediately gained confidence in its handling. I look forward to having more fun with this one!
