Have you finished playing League of Legends, Legends of Runners or Valorant and want to uninstall the game launcher? While the uninstall is seamless on a Mac, you may notice some messiness left over on a Windows computer. This video walks you through the process of completely uninstalling Riot Game Client and Vanguard on a Windows 10 or 11 computer.

Step 1. Navigate to "Riot Games" folder. Typically, it is found on the C:/ or D:/ drive, unless you specify a specific folder during installation.

Step 2. Right-click on the "Riot Games" folder. This will open a pop-up menu.

Step 3. Click Delete Windows 10 or Delete Android 7
Windows 11. Delete is at the bottom of the menu for Windows 10 computers while the trash can icon is at the top right of the menu on Windows 11 computers.

Step 4. On your keyboard, press ⊞ Win+R. This will open the Run window.

Step 5. Type appdata in the field and click OK. This command will open the AppData folder.

Step 6. Open the "Local" folder. You will see a list of apps in alphabetical order. If it's not in alphabetical order, click the name section at the top to filter now.

Step 7. Right-click on the "Riot Games" folder. This folder is located in AppData Local. A pop-up menu will open.

Step 8. Click Delete Windows 10 or Android 7 Delete
Windows 11. Delete is at the bottom of the menu for Windows 10 computers while the trash can icon is at the top-right of the menu on Windows 11 computers.

Step 9. Press ⊞ Win and type "Riot Client". You'll see the Riot client pop up in the Start menu's search suggestions.

Step 10. Click Open File Location. It will be in the right panel of search suggestions. The Riot Games folder will open.

Step 11. On the top navigation bar, click on Programs. This will open the previous folder.

Step 12. Right click on "Riot Games" folder. This is the folder located in Start Menu Programs.

Step 13. Click Delete Windows 10 or Delete Android 7
Windows 11. Delete is at the bottom of the menu for Windows 10 computers while the trash can icon is at the top-right of the menu on Windows 11 computers.

Step 14. Empty your recycle bin and restart your computer. To do this, right-click the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and click Empty Recycle Bin. Restart your computer by pressing the Win key, clicking the Power icon and selecting Restart.

Riot client will be completely uninstalled.
