Storm damage reported across Indiana on May 16, 2025

Описание: Possible tornadoes hit Brown, Monroe and Greene counties on Friday night, based on reports to the National Weather Service.

One of those reports said multiple homes in Brown County were leveled as severe storms with large hail and a possible tornado crossed the area.

Aerial photos shared with News 8 from Linton in Greene County showed homes with significant damage.

In addition, dozens of reports to the weather service shared information on downed trees and powerlines across Indiana, and wind speeds nearly 80 mph in some areas.

No injuries had been reported by 10 p.m. Friday.

No details were immediately available, but the Brown County Emergency Management Agency was warning people not to go out amid numerous reports of downed lines and blocked roads in the southern part of the county.

PowerOutage.us at 10 p.m. Friday reported more than 110,000 customers without power, with some of the more significant outages affecting Greene and White counties.
