Those who have heard the name "Taito" should instantly think of legendary games such as Space Invaders. Few people, however know of the Japanese game company's presence in Brazil during the late 1970s-early 80s. There, they put out many different arcade games, including pinball machines.
Taito's pinball output consisted of locally made copies of American pinball games (as strict laws at the time banned importing those games into Brazil) as well as more original designs like Gork. Taito made some of the finest, most reliable, quality pinball machines in Brazil, but it wouldn't last as a declining pinball market around '84 meant the END of pinball production in Brazil as a whole. Many Brazilian-made pinball tables are EXTREMELY RARE to find and are highly sought after by enthusiasts.
