Race described from pov of Fleet A, Spinnaker 1: Chance J120, Shake & Bake Farr X2, Outsider Azzura 310, Sun Dragon Sunfast 3300, Quixote Elan 40, Outcast Farr 38, Prima J105, Kestrel J105, Barcanova Sunfast 3200.

Nice tour of west San Francisco Bay, with medium winds (approx 10 knots), dying away, then returning in the mid teens. Very strong current with a recent full moon (the high-low tide difference was 9 feet!).

Interesting downwind mark rounding with classic example of Rule 18.2 (Giving Mark Room), expertly explained by Shirley Knot, with assist from Dave Perry at 21:19.

Guest appearance from Fleet C, Spinnaker 2, and even Fleet D, Non-Spinnaker, as the wind dies to nothing and the following fleets catche right up to the first.
