serves 6
takes 4-5 days
2 kg of cucumbers
2 tsp of salt
5 cloves of garlic
1 tsp coriander seeds
½ tsp whole pepper
2 packets of dill
1 corner of bread
1.5 liters of water
Wash the cucumbers and cut off the ends. Place one package of dill at the bottom of the large mason jar, then place a row of cucumbers on top. Mix salt in water and pour half of it over the cucumbers. Add half of the garlic, add half of the coriander seeds and half of the pepper. Then place the other package of dill on top and place the rest of the cucumbers on top. Add the remaining garlic, spices and the rest of the salted water. Place the corner of the bread on top, then cover it. Expose it to the sun if possible (it speeds up the process). The jar should be placed on a plate, because the liquid tends to run out. After 4-5 days, take out the cucumbers, wash them, filter the juice and transfer the cucumbers together with the juice to small bottles, then put them in the fridge.
