The first day of LUMO! | 25/10/21

The 25th of October marked a new era for the East Coast Mainline as LUMO came into passenger service for the first time. They are the first low cost train operating company with fares as cheap as £20 in some cases from Edinburgh - London and vice versa. They plan to rival airlines and fellow train operating companies. In this video I ride the first service southbound from Edinburgh to Newcastle, and give my view on it.

LUMO are operated by First Group and have a fleet of 5 Hitachi Class 803 Electric Multiple Units. They operate between Edinburgh & London Kings Cross Stopping at Morpeth, Newcastle and Stevenage. Check out their website here: https://www.lumo.co.uk/
