Ganesh ji represents that fundamental energy that rules or keeps the universe together. This composition is also known as শ্রীগণেশ অষ্টোত্তরশতনামাবলিঃ (śrīgaṇēśa aṣṭōttaraśatanāmāvaliḥ). This simply means Ganesha's 108 Names (গণেশ ১০৮ নামাবলিঃ), i.e., a collection of 108 names of Bhagawan Ganesha ji. Each name relates to an associated quality, attribute or aspect of Ganesha ji, or some related story. Chanting this with full devotion gives one power to destroy obstacles in life, and realize once dreams.
