"I got straight A's in nursing school..." 😅

Описание: I am NOT saying “don’t work hard and strive for A’s.” Work your absolute hardest. Challenge yourself. Go the extra mile.

But when the days get long and you’ve received a B on an exam, remember that the world will NOT come crashing down. Yes, there are strict parameters to remain in BSN programs, I’ve lived within those parameters, and I became an RN. But do I remember every single grade I received on exams? No.

Here’s the reality: receiving all A’s doesn't give you an extra star on your license. It doesn’t make you the best bedside nurse. It doesn’t replace compassion and critical thinking, nor does it take the place of well rounded nursing excellence.

When I say that grades aren’t everything, I’m not encouraging slacking. Slacking isn’t possible in nursing school. I say it to resonate with those of you who feel like you’re failing by getting B’s or even C’s.

You are not a failure and you can still get a great job being a great nurse!

I hope someone needed to hear that today, because I know in my longest days, I needed to hear it. Remember how capable you are. Remember why you’re doing this. And most importantly, remember… You Got This. 💛
