Rajma/Kidney beans is rich in protein and dietary fiber. It is most widely used in Northern India, well known as rajma rice or rajma curry with paratha. Rajma/kidney beans has lot of nutritional value and health benefits like curing acne, controlling blood sugar and cholesterol, strengthening muscles and bones etc. 100 gm of rajma has 17% protein and 26% dietary fiber.
In this video, I show you how to make a nutritious snack recipe with rajma (kidney beans). It is a very easy recipe, and the rajma tikki patties can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. The patties can be used in burgers, sandwiches, and rolls. Here i have shown you how to make a roll using the patty, which is a delicious and fun lunchbox recipe for kids.

Ingredients:
Rajma - 1 cup (soaked 8 hrs and pressure cooked 5-6 whistles)
Green chilli chopped -1
Ginger finely chopped - 1 tspn
Garlic finely chopped - 4-5 cloves
Coriander powder- 1 tspn
Chilli powder -1 tspn
Cumin /Jeera powder-1/2 tspn
Garam masala powder-1/2 tspn
Lemon juice of half a lemon
Pepper powder- 1/2 tspn
Salt to taste (3/4 tspn)
Coriander chopped (fresh)
To make roll
Chapathi
Mayonnaise
Ketchup (optional)
Pickled vegetables - onion, capsicum, cabbage, carrots soaked in lemon and salt minimum 5 minutes
Fried Rajma patties
Aluminium foil to wrap
