Sarah Blasko - Milton - 7 February 2025

Описание: Following on from her tour of major cities last year, Sarah Blasko took her ‘I Just Need to Conquer This Mountain’ tour to regional Australia. This was the perfect opportunity for me to return to the charming Milton Theatre.

The performance was in two parts. First up, her recently released album, “I Just Need to Conquer This Mountain”, was played in full on a minimally lit stage with images projected behind the band. While this worked very effectively live, it has not translated well to my video. The second part of the performance, following a short break and costume change for Sarah and the band, was a selection of six songs, one from each of her previous six albums, played in order of their release. Lighting during these songs was more ‘traditional’ and I’m glad to say my camera did a better job at capturing them. With the addition of a Cold Chisel cover as an encore, a total of 17 songs was played. I recorded six:

It was a wonderful night, the first time I’ve seen Sarah with a full band. I would have loved to have seen Jack Ladder singing with Sarah on ‘Goodbye!’ but you can’t have everything. And who knows what next time might bring.
