With the tragic closure of Bluepoint Games, there's never been a better time to revisit this classic. Because the community loves both the atmospheric, hazy look of the 2005 PS2 original and the stunning clarity of the 2018 PS4 remake, I’ve included gameplay footage from both versions. NAMING NOTES: Contrary to popular belief, the 16 colossi never actually received official public names from Team Ico. For years, the community has used Latin-sounding titles like Valus and Avion, which were mistakenly adopted from an old, fan-created list that spread online and were eventually accepted as canon by players. Internally, the developers only referred to the bosses by literal physical descriptions, such as "Minotaur" or "Bird." To finally give them proper titles, the 2018 PS4 remake introduced poetic trophy names for each encounter (like "Valley of the Wanderer"), which is why I've combined those with the beloved fan names to keep this ranking clear and considerate of various sources or preferences.
