The Belfast to Dublin Enterprise Service normally operates between Belfast Central / Lanyon Place & Dublin Connolly however on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd March 2024 the trains were diverted and making a rare appearance in Great Victoria Street Station (Possibly for the last time) due to engineering works taken place between Central Junction & Belfast Central / Lanyon Place.

In this video we see several services operating in and out of the station on Sunday 3rd March with sets 9001 + 208 , 9002 + 206 & 9003 + 227 in use.

First we see 208 + 9001 arrive with 10:00 Ex Dublin.

Next 206 + 9002 arrive with the Sundays only 14:00 Ex Dublin.

Then a few minutes later 9003 + 227 depart with the 16:06 Ex GVS.

Next we see 9001 + 208 departing with the 19:07 Ex GVS which is likely to be the last Enterprise service to operate out of Great Victoria Street.

And finally we see 227 + 9003 arriving with the 19:00 Ex Dublin which is likely to be the last Enterprise service to operating into Great Victoria Street.

The current Great Victoria Street Station opened in 1995 and has only had the Enterprise service operating out of the station on a handful of occasions.
However the original Great Victoria Street Station which closed in 1976 played host to the Enterprise ever since the service was launched by the GNR(I) in 1947.

With the new Belfast Grand Central Station due to open later this year and Great Victoria Street due to close in May the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd March 2024 is likely to be the final time we see the Enterprise operate from Great Victoria Street Station so the arrival of 227 + 9003 off the 19:00 Ex Dublin into GVS at 21:03 on the 3/3/24 has likely marked the end of Enterprise operations at Great Victoria Street.

Enterprise services will start to operate from Grand Central Station when it opens later this year which will bring 48 years of Enterprise operations out of Belfast Central / Lanyon Place to a end.
