Little Island is a public park and one of New York City’s most visually striking new attractions. It’s built atop the Hudson River on a cluster of 132 sculptural, tulip-shaped concrete supports, creating an elevated green space with winding paths, lawns, gardens, and sweeping river views. It opened on May 21, 2021, and was designed by Heatherwick Studio with landscape architecture by MNLA.

• A 2.4-acre “floating” park perched above the Hudson River between 13th and 14th Streets in Manhattan’s Chelsea/Meatpacking District. 
• Combines nature, design, art, and performance spaces — including lawns, pathways, plantings, lookout points, and a 687-seat amphitheater for shows. 
• More than 350 plant species — trees, flowers, and shrubs — make it a seasonally changing urban oasis.
