Las Vegas recycles nearly every drop of water that goes down an indoor drain. Most people, even locals, don’t know this is how Las Vegas has a sustainable water supply for its 2 million residents and 40 million annual visitors.
This documentary takes you inside the full recycling process, from the moment water leaves your home or a resort on the Strip, to its journey through the Las Vegas Wash, and finally back to Lake Mead to be used again and again.
We explain the critical accounting system that makes this possible, called Return Flow Credits, and why it is essential to Southern Nevada. You’ll also learn how this recycled water supports hundreds of species of wildlife along the way!
