The secret vile locations are also included. The requirement to get the gold armor (hyper chip) and the Zero saber is in the latter part of the video. Commentary is provided to give clarity to the process.

The leg upgrade is near the end of Blizzard Buffalo stage. Stand at the edge of the last bridge, and do a dash jump. You can use Zero to do the dash jump if you find it hard to do it with X.

The leg upgrade allows you to dash horizontally or vertically mid air.

For the buster upgrade, you need to already have beaten Tunnel Rhino along with getting the leg upgrade. In Neon Tiger’s stage, you will see a crack wall. Use the Tornado Fang to destroy it to reveal the hidden area. Use your leg upgrade upthrust to reach it. Technically, you can reach the capsule by dash jumping off the wall underneath the overhang and reaching the platform leading to the capsule, however this is extremely difficult.

The buster upgrade allows you to charge special weapons or fire twice in a row in quick succession after charging.

To get the armor upgrade, you need the buster arm upgrade and have defeated Gravity Beetle. Ride the elevator just before the outdoor catwalk all the way up to get to the large green-colored platform surrounded by spike walls. Charge up and release the Gravity Well to reach the capsule. You can also use the leg chip upgrade that allows 2 vertical jumps to get there.

The armor upgrade reduces incoming damage taken by 50%. The blue barrier that appears after taking damage reduces further incoming damage for 5 seconds.

To get the helmet upgrade, you need the buster arm upgrade along with Volt Catfish’s charged Triad Thunder attack. After getting past the Byte or Bit boss room, travel to the area with the giant boulder blocking the path on the left. Charge up the Triad Thunder and release it to destroy the boulder. Now head up to find the helmet upgrade.

The helmet upgrade allows you to see which items you are missing when entering a map.

In the Volt Catfish stage, the life up is located on the second elevator where the spikes are on both sides. Go past the left path until you reach a dead end. You need to either use the leg upgrade to jump and horizontal dash or just press dash jump to the opposite wall, slide down to get the life up.
To get the life up in the Acid Seahorse stage, you want to climb up the area until you get all the way to the top to find the purple robot guarding it. Destroy it to get the life up.

The life up in Blast Hornet’s stage is located in the open area. You will need the leg upgrade, using the vertical dash to access the area if you don’t have a robot available.

The life up in Blizzard Buffalo’s stage is located where the ice blocks are. You need Tunnel Rhino’s Tornado Fang to destroy it. Be careful of the spikes just before the life up. You can use Robot N or Robot K to destroy it as well.

The life up in Neon Tiger’s stage is right before fighting him. You can get on the dragonfly monster and let him take you to the top to find the life up.
