A Lincoln County man was sentenced Monday in connection with the shooting death of his two-year-old son near Libby last year.
Timothy Frederick Allen Moore was sentenced on Monday to 20 years at the Montana State Prison, with five years suspended. Moore will also receive credit for time already served.
During the sentencing hearing, several victim impact statements were given. Moore also addressed the court one final time before the judge handed down the sentence.
After the hearing, members of the victim’s family said they wished the case had gone to trial but hope the outcome will allow them to begin to move forward.
