History
The garden was founded in 1959 by Lady Anne Berry, who began designing it after being inspired by a trip to Spain. Over three decades, she built up an impressive collection of plants, travelling the world and collecting rare plants. In 1988, Lady Anne Berry gifted Rosemoor to the Royal Horticultural Society, which has since expanded the garden to 65 acres.
